Background

Using experience from other public service surveillance projects such as those with the UK police services Tellemachus have implemented cutting edge technology on behalf of councils throughout England including Hackney Borough Council.

Case

Working with Hackney Borough Council CCTV department, Tellemachus jointly developed a system of relocatable wireless cameras which are capable of being rapidly deployed to provide CCTV coverage of particular “hotspots” within the geographical boundaries of the Borough.

The system had to be compatible with the existing Council CCTV equipment, be cost effective (compared to traditional CCTV methods) and be capable of being deployed by the existing Council staff with the minimum of technical effort.
