Background

Lancashire Constabulary provides policing services across Lancashire - some 2,000 square miles covering 124 miles of coastline, 256 miles of motorway, large rural areas and major towns. Tellemachus have forged an effective partnership with the constabulary, providing and implementing technology led policing solutions.

Case

Tellemachus have recently developed an Internet based video distribution system which has allowed Lancashire Police to transmit and distribute live CCTV images. The system is extremely cost effective by allowing images to be transmitted using ADSL lines and allows the possibility to share information with other Emergency Services during critical situations.
