To meet a wide range of operational requirements there are a number of camera options for the Equinox™ range. These include thermal, infra red and ballistic options, but can also incorporate standard fully functioning cost effective domes.
Integration into either IP or analogue control room matrix environments is possible and digital storage of recordings is available at both the camera and monitoring locations. Other features of the Equinox™ range include two way audio which can be integrated into a new or existing “Help Point” scheme.
The ability to remotely retrieve high quality video and audio recordings and images from the camera location reduces the requirement for personnel to physically visit camera sites. All high quality recordings can of course be retrieved by visiting the camera if appropriate.
The advanced video analytics options available within the camera and monitoring systems are the most comprehensive available and provide a range of operational benefits for the user. These features enable the system to provide much more than a simple monitored camera.

- Motion detection
- Virtual trip wire
- Museum mode
- Congestion
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) can also be provided by the system.
Viewing the live transmission is possible through our Multi Media Management Unit (MMU) or any suitably configured laptop/desktop or PDA. The high quality images can be viewed through remote connection to the cameras via the wireless backbone network, mobile phone networks or WiFi if required. PTZ control of all cameras is also possible from almost any location.

As well as the best technology and best equipment the whole system includes the best support from Tellemachus technicians and account managers to top off a truly resilient surveillance solution.
There are a wide range of management features available with the Equinox™ systems to enable the effective monitoring, configuration and management of the complete surveillance system.
The entire surveillance system can be configured and managed by a centralised software database which controls all user access and provides a historical log of all actions undertaken by operators and any alarms that have occurred.
A software Graphic User Interface (GUI) is available for monitoring the entire system and alerts if critical elements are unavailable.
Optional SMS switches can provide the ability to remotely enable or disable specific camera features. SMS alerts can also be used by the management system to alert managers of events or system availability
Access to all live and recorded video and audio product is controlled through user permission rights and extends to all areas of the system (such as PTZ control).
All live and recorded video and audio is transmitted securely using high standards of encryption.
The video and audio is recorded in a proprietary format and protected by digital signature which provides a method of “evidential” protection should the video or audio be required to be presented in court
The physical design of the camera incorporates a range of enclosures (steel, aluminium or carbon fibre) and mounting systems to protect it from physical attack.
The ability to transmit live video and audio over a mobile phone network (3G, HSDPA & HSUPA networks) enable the RDC-H to be deployed very quickly in locations outside the normal area of operation.
Power options include 110V/240V AC or 12V/24V DC and battery packs and solar systems are currently under development.
All Equinox™ RDC cameras are designed and built to the highest quality standards and conform the relevant health and safety requirements for single person lifting at height. Tellemachus have used our years of experience of Military and Law Enforcement operations to incorporate the best physical design attributes such as:
- Military Specification (MIL Spec) electrical connectors
- Aircraft specification construction (lightweight & durable)
- Environmental elements (temperature & condensation)
These features enable exceptionally high level of availability and long-lasting working life of the camera and transmission systems.
